The patented AC Chlorinator provides a relatively simple way of maintaining and self-cleaning drain lines in air conditioning systems, thus reducing system maintenance and shutdowns.
It easily integrates with the existing drain line and eliminates the need for maintenance due to clogged condensate water sensor shutdowns.
During use this product contains a preservative (chlorine tablets manufactured with EPA registered numbers and at a facility with an EPA Establishment number) applied within the Air Conditioner condensate water stream, ONLY to protect the Air Conditioner unit. This does not protect Users or others against bacteria, viruses, germs or other disease organisms.
The AC Chlorinator is designed to keep AC condensate water free of contaminants.
This helps prevent clogs and water backups, which in turn prevents potentially costly water damage to AC units and surrounding infrastructure. The device also eliminates unsightly slippery green algae buildup in runoff water.
Helps Unclog and Clean AC Drain Lines -
The patented AC Chlorinator AC drain line tool, which holds EPA- registered chlorine tablets, provides a relatively simple way of maintaining and cleaning drain lines (Standard Residential 3/4 inch pipe & Commercial 1 inch pipe) in air conditioning systems, thus reducing system maintenance and shutdowns.
Reduces Maintenance and Shutdowns -
The AC Chlorinator drain line tool easily integrates with existing drain lines. It helps prevent maintenance downtime due to clogged condensate water sensor shutdowns by delivering added chlorine.
Delivers Chlorine to Help Keep Runoff systems Clog free -
The AC Chlorinator uses EPA-approved chlorine tablets to help keep AC condensate lines clog free. Chlorinated water prevents clogs and water backups, in-turn preventing costly water damage to AC units and surroundings. EPA approved chlorine tablets sold separately.
Releases Chlorine in the Flow Stream -
With the addition of chlorine tablets, the AC Chlorinator holds the tablets in the flow stream of the condensate drain water coming out of the AC unit, allowing for the slow release of chlorine from the tablets. Takes three 1inch Dia. X 3/4 inch Wide chlorine tablets sold separately.
Easy Installation -
Looking for the best way to unclog an AC drain line using chlorine tablets? Follow our detailed instructions. You will need these tools: PVC Pipe Cutter, PVC Glue (Primer and Cement with Cap dauber), Safety Glasses, Tape Measure, Gloves, and a Marker Pen.
Keeps Runoff Free of Contaminants -
The AC Chlorinator AC cleaner keeps AC condensate water free of contaminants. This helps prevent clogs and water backups, in turn preventing costly water damage to AC units and surroundings. This product contains a preservative (chlorine tablets with EPA registered numbers with EPA Establishment numbers) applied within the Air Conditioner condensate water stream, ONLY to protect the Air Conditioner unit. This does not protect Users or others against bacteria, viruses, germs or other disease organisms.
Step 1
Identify the 6" drain line gap. Mark the PVC pipe. A clearance space of 3" above the PVC pipe is required.
Step 2
Turn off power to the AC unit. Cut PVC pipes at marks. Remove any sharp burrs.
Step 3
Place each cut end of the PVC pipe into the AC Chlorinator unit and make sure it fits. Follow arrows to ensure flow is oriented correctly. Adjust outgoing drain pipe height 1" lower as needed.
Step 4
Pinching the sides, lift up and remove the cover and the tray. Apply PVC primer and then hardener to the cut PVC pipe ends. Insert both pipes into the unit and orient the cover
vertically facing up.
Step 5
Place tray back inside unit. Place 3 chlorine or pan tablets in the tray. Close cover.
